DBA (MS SQL & MySQL Server)

The DBA will be responsible for administration of MSSQL and MySQL database systems. This is a "hands-on" position requiring strong technical Database Administration skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Maintain MSSQL and MySQL Server(Linux OS) databases to manage the availability and consistent performance ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance)

Monitoring DBs health and performance and take timely actions

Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Support for critical production Databases

Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

Backup, restores and recovery models

Must have strong experience in SQL Server Always On environment

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent Trouble shooting skills on DB issues to independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.

Experience of 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Sound knowledge on Performance optimization techniques

Worked on High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for SQL Server/MySQL (Linux OS)

Should have good knowledge on SSIS , SSAS and SSRS report configuration and deployment

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to organize and plan work independently

Understanding of other non SQL databases like Mongo DB will be preferred
