• Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Write new scripts and refine existing once.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Skills and Qualifications

• MS SQL Server Administration experience required
• MongoDB administration experience is a plus
• PostgreSQL administration experience is a plus
• Expert knowledge required in SQL Server replication, Always-ON, performance tuning and optimization, troubleshooting and SQL Server internals.
• Expert level experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• Hands-on on other HA/DR topologies like Log Shipping, Mirroring and Clustering for SQL Server
• Expert in writing and troubleshooting T-SQL
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
• Experience working with Linux and any scripting language like powershell, shell, python etc..
• Intermediate to Expert level experience in MySQL/ MariaDB installation, backup, restore, recovery, security, replication, troubleshooting failures, performance troubleshooting and tuning.
• Experience in PostgreSQL installation, backup, restore, recovery, setting up security, replication and troubleshooting.
• Experience in MongoDB installation, CRUD operations, backup, restore, recovery, security best practices, replication and sharding.
