JOB DETAIL

Strong knowledge and experience on SQL Server Database Administration (2008, 12, 14, 15 & 17) with 4 + years of experience.

  • Extensive experience developing high-availability client server OLTP and OLAP Database applications.
  • Strong knowledge SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery like Log Shipping and Database Mirroring.
  • Fluent in interpreting and programming advanced TSQL stored procedures
  • Strong understanding of the Windows Server Operating System including clustering and Security model.
  • Hands on experience performing advanced database tasks such as execution plan index tuning, maintenance plan design, object security management, distributed database management and normalized relational modeling.
  • Comfortable performing advanced database administration activities against critical production databases as well as performing standard daily administrative tasks such as backup and schedule monitoring.
  • Experienced in intermittent tasks like Upgrades & applying Hot fixes/Service Packs on SQL servers, updating SQL Server Agent Password, and moving SQL Server Database from one server to another server.
  • Monitoring & Management of database replication to other instances/DR site as applicable
  • Responsible for raising tickets with DB OEM and coordinating the resolution of ticket.
  • Responsible for database Administration, indexing and clustering.
  • Responsible for Management of database repository, deletion, modification, backup and restore of databases and their tables.
  • Knowledge on ISO and process documentation/SOPs.
  • Possess the necessary analytical skills to solve complex problems.
