Roles & responsibility

• Hands-on experience in Installation, configuration, patching and upgrading of Tableau Server across the environments
• Manage the application’s users, groups, and integration with Active Directory
• Automate monitoring & server job processes and setup alert notifications
• Should be capable of doing Tableau Server Management (like Clustering, Load Balancing, User Management etc)
• Should be familiar with tableau migration and scheduling tasks
• Experience in taking back ups and restoration of Tableau repository
• Good knowledge on Tableau Metadata tables and tableau caching layer to optimize the performance
• Suggest best practices to development team and ensure performance
• Provide additional support for users through training, documentation, system access and query resolution
• Good understanding of tableau data sources (Live vs Extract) and help optimize tableau reports/dashboards performance on the server

 

Skills

• 3+ years of collective experience in Tableau server maintenance and administering, development experience is a plus
• Enterprise development knowledge and/or experience with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and MemSQL
• Skilled in Python and preferably in one or more programming languages
• Good understanding of technology and industry and able to make decisions on the best technology for integrated solutions
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environment.
• Tableau certification is a plus
