Technically, you need to be sound in the following concepts:
- Good understanding of Testing concepts and applying the same in existing and new projects to meet requirements.
- Understand Requirements, Specifications - Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios, test cases and steps.
- Knowledge in SDLC models and STLC.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Planning and manual execution of functional test cases. Perform Smoke, Sanity and exploratory testing.
- Prepare regression suites and perform thorough Regression testing.
- Creation and maintenance of test data, tools.
- Test analysis and Reporting
The following will help you earn brownie points:
- Hands-on Performance testing tools experience will be plus.
- Good to have knowledge in Web services/REST-based testing.
- Good to have knowledge on automation technologies/tools.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in Manual testing with Web and Mobile Apps(Android/ iOS).
- Perform system, integration and regression testing.
- Identify, log and track bugs
- Able to complete testing within stipulated timeframes.
