Overview on Operations Technology

Operations Technology is looking for a Senior Business Analyst our Mumbai office. IMRS Platform is a key component of Enterprise Metrics & Analytics Practice Area within Operations Technology . This practice supports Global Operations and Finance Control Group by defining, acquiring, publishing, and analyzing an integrated set of key risk and performance metrics. These metrics enable managers to make informed decisions, while executing the Firm s objectives across the domains of Risk, Financial and Manpower. We re a lean, flat and experimental team combining science and engineering to identify and inject high-value insights into Global Operations processes at their point of highest impact.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with global teams spread across Bangalore, Mumbai and New York. You will get the opportunity to develop new streams, enhance existing streams and work on critical planning and analysis aspect of the project. You will also get the opportunity to work with upstream Technology teams, Report users (Sr. management) , internal/ external vendors, s upport teams related to requirement, design, development and user support.

The successful candidate will display ownership attitude and will be responsible for

- Analyzing results and reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business

- Acting as a team lead on designated projects & providing work direction to dev team.

- Working alongside teams within the business / management to establish business needs

- Defining new data collection and analysis processes

- Meet deadlines and possess a proven record of successful project execution & delivery.

- Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC processes and procedures adjusted for a Rapid Application Development methodology (agile)

- Influencing decisions with divisional partners, internal teams, senior management

* Requirements

1. Act as Product owner in Agile implementation to bridge the communication between the team and their stakeholders.

2. Participating in UAT & undertaking the functionality testing of new system

3. Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing & analyzing functional & non-functional requirements

4. Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups

5. Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner

6. Comfortable with ambiguity, creative thinking and leading change

Educational Requirements:

BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

Bachelor s Degree in Mathematics or Computer Engineering

Years of Experience:

10 years in a data analyst role.

Primary Skills/ Must have

1. Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst

2. P roven ability to manage and lead small teams

3. Strong knowledge of and experience with any RDBMS like DB2, Oracle

4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

5. Knowledge of reporting packages (Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, QlikView, Crystal Reports, D3, Alteryx)

6. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (VBA, Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)

Secondary Skills / Desired skills

1. Hands-on work in scripting languages (Shell/ Perl/ Python) or ETL tools like Informatica

2. Programming for data and analytics - R, Python, MATLAB.

3. Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques

4. Ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualizations.

5. Financial Services experience will be a strong plus
