Position Description:

WM Batch Operations team supports Run the Bank and Change the Bank activities for the batch components of several applications. The candidate will lead the Batch Operations global team to provide End to End Operational Support for WM batches as whole. Candidate will oversee the work on aspects like Production monitoring, troubleshooting, outage management, failover, systems recovery, documentations etc.

This role also requires strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with strong work ethics. They will work closely with Application teams, Application Support groups, Mainframe teams, DBA's, Batch Systems, Infrastructural support groups, Storage Team and other distributed application teams supporting WM application.

Responsibilities include -

• Lead the Batch Operations Team
• Develop an understanding of the WM batch from an overall perspective
• Guide / Mentor to the Batch Operations team
• Identify opportunities for developing efficiencies
• Liaise with App Dev and other support teams to identify opportunities to engagements
• Develop a communication plan for consistent and transparent communication around incidents, events, projects, metrics etc.
• Drive the transformation agenda and India strategy for Batch Operations
• Focus on consolidating Batch Operations knowledge base, maintain consistent batch process / engagement model, tool consolidation effort (singular tool), operation model to be "Manage by exception", and imbibe learn and grow culture.
• Having scheduled career and professional conversations with team members
• Estimating the intake and on-going support for new applications
• Drive stability and Optimization initiatives
• Lead the team during outages and remediation effort

Skills Required

• Experience : 10 to 14 yrs
• Ability to manage a team
• Prior production management experience
• Prior Linux / Windows systems admin experience
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Prior development experience a plus
• Strong project management & estimating skills
• Working knowledge on Mainframe technologies / Data Warehouse or Hadoop technologies
