Job description

The Role :

- 6+ years of hands on experience with development, deployment, and support of applications using Ab Initio product suite using GDE, Co>Operating System, EME, Conduct - It and Control Center

- Experience working on XML messages, parsing, DML creation using various XML components

- Experience in Continuous flows is a plus

- Review and understand data specifications and physical data models in order to write extract transform and load (ETL) code and construct ETL components.

- Create technical design documents, support manuals for the solutions and be able to debug the process as needed.

- Participate in regular technical peer review sessions to identify non-adherence to standards, design and performance issues/improvements in ETL code.

- Hands on experience creating graphs using partitioning, rollup, normalize, scan components, etc.

- Solid understanding of Conduct,It plans, sub plans, tasks, PDL interpretation, etc.

- Create technical solutions and design for complex Data Warehouse requirements utilizing Ab Initio and shell scripts

- Full life cycle experience in Data Integration, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management.

- Expert understanding of the ETL/ELT and architectural principles of data integration and data warehousing

- Works with on/off shore teams to insure best practice standards and process.

- Work in Agile delivery methodology

- Provide technical support and input on the application using Ab Initio.

- Solid understanding and proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting and SQL .
 

Required Candidate profile

Experience/ Skills needed :

- 8+ years of overall IT experience

- 6+ years in a direct role as a designer and/or ETL/ ELT with Ab Initio

- 5+ years of Data Warehousing experience.

- Candidate should possess 3+ years ETL Architecture including Ab Initio(batch and Continuous Flow)

- Candidate should possess technical expertise in application integration (Real Time, Data Streams, and XML etc...)

- Technical expertise in distributed system architecture, design, and development

- Broad and Deep Data Warehousing and Data Integration exposure

- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management in a clear and professional manner; verbally, written, and possess superior people management and leadership skills

- Strong conceptual and analytical skills: SQL, Problem Solving, Performance tuning, Test case analysis

- Solid understanding of data modeling and design considerations for analytical systems.
