Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and build databases from determining business
- requirements to planning and deploying test and production systems.
- Administration of PostgreSQL databases throughout the development
- and production lifecycles in an AWS environment.
- Design and develop logical and physical database designs from
- customer requirements.
- Analyze/Develop business description of user needs, program
- functions, and steps required to develop or modify systems, including Business Requirements Documents and supporting documents, diagrams, data and database specification.
- Installing databases preferably on-premise and Cloud PostgreSQL
- Designing/developing/maintaining database schemas & Structures
- Startup, shutdown, backups, database scripts, and other scripting as
- required
- At least 5 years of experience in database administration tasks such
- as DB analysis, maintenance, development, and reporting
- Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and
- requests.
- Respond to database related alerts and come up with strategic
- solutions to recurring problems.
- Performance tuning on regular generated queries.
- Review and assist developers in creating queries and stored
- procedures.
- Must have handled the below in earlier assignments
- Installation, Connection and Database creation
- Creation of Database Objects
- Security, Role Administration
- Backup & Restores in PostgreSQL
- Tablespace management
- Other Day-to-Day DBA Activities
- Getting Postgres Current Parameters & Changing
- Managing PostgreSQL Database Access
- Working with PostgreSQL Autovacuum on Amazon RDS
- Audit Logging for a PostgreSQL DB Instance
- Working with the pgaudit Extension
- Working with the pg_repack Extension
- Working with PostGIS
- Using pgBadger for Log Analysis with PostgreSQL
- Viewing the Contents of pg_config
- Accessing External Data with the postgres_fdw Extension
- Restricting Password Management.
