- They need not to be lead/architect but can be someone on the verge of becoming one or ready to be one.
Summary
Client is looking for a Lead Architect to architect, refactor and build systems using object-oriented technologies. You will participate in architectural meetings, analyze technical requirements, review existing infrastructure, recommend solutions/refactoring to streamline and reduce complexity all while coordinating with other architects and analysts and authoring/maintaining technical documentation. You will drive internal and external technology experts and vendors in deep-dive architecture reviews as well as make technical development and design recommendations to ensure optimal outcome.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software designs and architecture
- Write architecture documents such as software design specifications, system architectures and software requirements specifications.
- Create product roadmaps and participate in the execution of the roadmaps using object-oriented technologies
- Write clean, scalable code
- Develop, test and deploy applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Evaluate and streamline processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of existing code
- Review, evaluate, and recommend tools including Open Source frameworks to simplify development efforts
- Monitor industry trends and identify best practices and methodologies to implement in-house
- Create, build, consume REST APIs and Microservices
- Adhere to Enterprise Architecture standards and strategy for JuicePlus+ including business, application, product, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures
- Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create solutions built on cloud platform while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
Skill Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience as a .NET Developer
- Experience with REST APIs and Microservices
- Familiarity with modern DB technologies such as DynamoDB, Couchbase, Splunk, etc.
- Experience with performance tuning tools
- Experience with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and both verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Other programming language experience such as Java, C#, PHP, etc. is a plus
- Experience in the payments industry is a plus
Minimum Job Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years software development experience
- 5 years software design and implementation experience
- Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
