Job Description:

We are looking for a Power BI Developer with at least 6+ years of IT experience and strong SQL experience.

1.     MUST have strong communication skills

2.     MUST have Power BI development experience

3.     Must have strong SQL skills (SSRS and SSIS)

4.     Experience Dell Boomi Platform for EDI Data

Notes from the Manager:

- Strong experience with Power BI is a must. Experience with additional data visualization tools is a plus.

- Strong SQL skills with 3 or more years of hands on experience working with stored procedures, tables and views
- A working  knowledge of databases and familiarity with modeling and data warehouse structure (Kimball methodology familiarity is a plus)
- Experience in creating and maintaining reports through SSRS

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This Power BI Developer will be working within the visualization team, tasked with developing and enhancing visualization products across the business, and the platforms on which they sit.

Day to day, this will include;

- Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power IT desktop
- Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for business intelligence
- Analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
- Implementing row level security on data and understanding application security layer models in Power BI

- SQL stored procedures, tables and views
- Understanding business requirements and developing data models
- Design methodology and product documentation
- Developing shared datasets using master data model pattern
- Apply transformations to data sources using standard functions and advanced M scripting
- Using DAX to create measures, columns and table queries in Power BI desktop
- Creating completing reports with a consumer-based focus
- Managing and publishing scheduled reports / datasets in power BI
