JOB DETAIL

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of SAP PI application support and enhancements
  • Design, develop and configure SAP PI components in support of interface requirements.
  • Creation of PI functional & technical designs for integration scenario requirements
  • Development in Enterprise Services Repository
  • Configuration in Integration Builder
  • Perform performance analysis and tuning for individual interfaces.
  • Ensure interface connectivity is configured between SAP and legacy systems.
  • Provide on-going support and maintenance of the PI components and interfaces.
  • Assist business teams with creation of integration test cases and plans. Support project teams during testing.
  • Promote component reuse strategy across all development environments.
  • Provide technical quality assurance.
  • Ensure that development efforts adhere to analysis, design and development standards.
  • Manage day-to-day issues and tasks related to the development and support of SAP interfaces.
  • Compliance with client’s IT processes (with regard to incident and change management)
  • Monitor message processing and message throughput
  • Troubleshooting and status tracking of messages
  • Error and alert handling
  • Root-cause analysis
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Manage clients and stake holders, monitor SLAs and escalations
  • Status reporting, review service metrics (KPIs) & ensure appropriate OLAs/SLAs
  • Proactively manage foreseen project risk and plan for remediation/mitigation
  • Work with a team across geographical locations in a managed delivery model
  • Collaborate with clients independently and work in a multi-vendor environment
  • Unit and integration testing of Applications and UAT support
  • Investigate and identify problems and user requirements
  • Work with teams across modules to resolve production support issues. Update client tickets/change request status, progress and escalate issues when needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications – will be authoring Functional Specs, driving requirements documentation via workshops, so it is important that the candidate knows how to carry him/herself while conducting sessions with small groups of high-level stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8  years experience in SAP PI/PO
  • Strong verbal and written English Language skills
  • Very good analytical skills and business process understanding is required
  • Knowledge of integration technologies and specific SAP PI/PO architecture required
  • Proficient hands-on experience in implementing A2A and B2B solutions using IDOC, RFC, JDBC, File, ABAP Proxy, SOAP, HTTP, REST, SFTP, and JMS adapters, including UDFs coding, development of PI adapter modules. JAVA skills are a plus
  • Complete of a minimum of 2 full project lifecycle implementations and roll outs
  • International project experience and collaborating with off-shore teams
  • Experience with waterfall. Experience with agile project methodology is a plus.
