Essential Skills
· 4+ yrs of work exp.
· Strong Java or Scala development skills.
· Experience in large scale, production, server side development on the JVM, Scala, Python
· Strong hands on experience in building applications and pipelines in Spark.
· Must have experience in AWS-EMR,S3
· Good understanding of Hadoop infrastructure and how application works in a distributed environment Read/understand/dabble - Ruby on Rails, Python is a plus.
· Working experience in a RDBMS and big data stack.
· Should have strong SQL programming skills.
· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
· Knowledge of Scheduling Tools is a plus
· Ability to work well with others, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment
· Experience with agile development methodologies and Lean Startup product iteration techniques
· A passion for software engineering and for developing robust, scalable software systems.
· Experience with test automation- TDD is must , unit testing, functional testing, integration testing
· Analyze and organize raw data
· Build data systems and pipelines
· Evaluate business needs and objectives
· Interpret trends and patterns
· Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
· Combine raw information from different sources
· Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
· Identify opportunities for data acquisition
· Develop analytical tools and programs
