Job Description
This position will perform advanced database administration tasks for databases used by the applications with complex data models, workflows, and reports. Assist the team in planning, creating, maintaining, and monitoring logical and physical data models.
This position will work on activities including but not limited to database tuning, indexing, data modeling, prototyping, customization, installations, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, user management, the security of data at rest and in motion, disaster recovery, clustering for high availability and load balancing, data backup, purging and archiving, implementation of database policies, data replication and backup to secondary sites like disaster recovery environments, procedures for the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the sensitive and business-critical databases.
This position will need hands-on experience as a developer of relational databases in the SQL server as well as experienced in the management and administration of SQL databases.
Has working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
Ensures that user interfaces for database administration and inputting, viewing, outputting data (via reports) are compliant with accessibility standards. Provides support to users in obtaining data/information when EIR Accessibility issues arise.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Years Required / Preferred Experience
8 years Required Azure/SQL Server DBA Experience in an IaaS/PaaS environment
8 years Required Implementing and maintaining data security protocols for sensitive data & PII.
8 years Required Azure/SQL Server monitoring and performance tuning
8 years Required T/SQL, SQL, DML, DDL, and DCL Experience
8 years Required RDBMS admin/console tools such as TOAD or SSMS
5 years Required Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS
5 years Required Project leadership and implementation
5 years Required Experience with data pipelines and ETL data structures
4 years Required Bachelors or advanced degree in a closely related field
3 years Required Experience with Azure PaaS using Azure Data Factory
5 years Preferred Azure SQL Server installation, administration, and maintenance
3 years Preferred Knowledge of Agile methodology.
III. TERMS OF SERVICE
Services are expected to start on 11/16/2020 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2021. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 1426 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
