Location : Plano, TX

Role Description               Administering and maintaining our Client Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code, help Develop new technologies and standardizing Infrastructure services for the organization to consume.

Essential Skills   

• Candidate must hold Automation Skills in the Linux (Mandatory)

• Administering and maintaining our Client Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code, help Develop new technologies and standardizing Infrastructure services for the organization to consume.

• Automating repeatable processes using automation tools for Nutanix, Windows and Linux Platforms. (Platform Automation tools are currently a combination of Ansible/AWX, PowerShell, ShellScripts, Python.

 Other orchestration tools used are Nutanix Prism/Calm, Cloud Center, Jenkins and ServiceNow).

• Developing and maintaining our Ansible playbooks, scripts, OS image pipeline and configuration management of Platform Infrastructure services (Windows, Linux and VDI infrastructure services).

• Building infrastructure as Code for the consumption of our DevOps pipelines, and enforcing coding standards and best practices.

• Collaborating with application architects and other platform SMEs and translating their requirements in to IaC (infrastructure as code).

• Creating configuration worksheets for application environment builds with ITIL and Agile procedures.

• Create, maintain documentation for the platform and mentor other team members.

Expert knowledge of Linux, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions through

Expert knowledge of infrastructure-as-code orchestration and automation tools

• (Ansible/Ansible Tower/ AWX, Shell scripting and PowerShell etc..)
• Intermediate knowledge of IT Enterprise services (Infrastructure with DMZs/Firewalls, Switching, Routing, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.).
• Intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Intermediate knowledge of vulnerability threat management best practices.
• Intermediate knowledge of virtualization and hypervisors (VMWare).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Knowledge of Git/bitbucket, version control and modern development workflow
• Experience with infrastructure as code (i.e. Ansible, Packer, OS image automation, Templates, etc.), to deploy OS images on virtualized infrastructure.
• Infrastructure, security, and automation best practices.
• Scripting knowledge (i.e. Shellscripting, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Batch, etc.)Troubleshooting skills & documentation.              

Desirable Skills                

Ansible/ Ansible Tower/ Terraform/ Packer etc..

Platform Configuration management automation (day2 opertions automation).

VMware/AHV/KVM knowledge on HCI platform (Nutanix).

Knowledge of logging and performance monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Nagios).
