Title: Network Admin with Windows experience
Location: Chicago. IL
Duration: Long Term

Job Summary :

Job responsibilities:

·        Installing and configuring computer networks and systems

·        Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems

·        Consulting with clients to specify system requirements and design solutions

·        Providing recommendations and suggestions for performance improvement 

·        Patch management of network devices

·        Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete

·        Working with IT / Service Desk / Helpdesk support personnel

·        Providing network administration and support

·        Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies

·        Creating and maintaining network users/permissions

·        Basic experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired

·        SLA monitoring

·        Setting up and maintaining WAN links; coordinating with WAN link provider for deployment of new WAN links  Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

·        3-5 years’ experience in a network administration role

·        Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 preferred

·        Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred

·        MCSE certification  

·        CCNP certification
