TIBCO/Linux Administrator 

Looking for a senior engineer or junior architect.

Experience/Skills required:

•             8-10 years of architecture design

•             8-10 years of Red Hat Linux 6/7 administration (advanced level)

•             8-10 years of hardware diagnosis and repair (preferably HP)

•             8-10 years of TIBCO administrator experience

•             7+ years of Unix shell scripting experience

•             Operating System Clustering (preferably Red Hat, and on RHEL7 or 8)

•             Virtualization (preferably Red Hat on VMWare)

•             Configuration management using Ansible

•             Expert of X86 hardware technologies - processors, disk controllers, disk types, network controllers.  Hardware support technologies such as HP OneView.

•             Linux performance diagnostics and tuning

•             Ansible Automation

Skills Preferred:

•             Red Hat Satellite Server

•             Kickstart System Deployment

•             System Monitoring (OpsView/Nagios)

•             Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) server side configuration and concepts

•             Experience with load balancing technology and concepts

•             Red Hat Openshift Container Platform architecture and support

•             Experience with Docker

•             GIT Version Control

•             Ansible Tower configuration management  (using in the future)

•             Experience with Big Data (specifically Cloudera/Hadoop)

•             Experience with Nutanix clusters running AHV

This candidate will be expected to …

•             translate application requirement into acceptable server infrastructure designs that adhere to the department management standards.

•             serve as a team member in a complex, mission-critical computing environment supporting primarily Red Hat Linux. The work associated with this position will be divided evenly between new projects and support activities.

•             provide support of the critical TIBCO environment that supports PTC (Positive Train Control).  This will include assisting the application team with deployments and configuration of the environment, installing hotfixes and minor releases, troubleshooting and installing new versions of the TRA, RV, Hawk, BW, EMS and TIBCO Administrator software.

•             work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment with on-call duties.

•             mentor and collaborate with team members.

•             interface with customers, business partners, third-party suppliers/vendors, internal IT application programmers, and internal business contacts for both new development and problem determination/resolution.

•             assist in designing, implementing, and supporting the corporate Linux architecture as required for installed and proposed systems.

•             act as a resource as needed during critical system outages to provide management with business impact information necessary to make decisions.

•             assure the highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, security, and availability of the enterprise environment under his/her responsibility.

•             adhere to the established change control policies and prescribed procedures.

•             produce documentation and procedures regarding the proper use and operation of the corporate infrastructure.

•             correct reported problems with software and communication interfaces under his/her responsibility.

•             utilize a problem management tool to track open tickets and follow up to resolution and closure.

•             have excellent interpersonal skills for the purposes of requirements gathering and coordination with other technical teams, business partners, and third party vendors.

•             be sensitive when introducing new technologies to internal/external business partners, but have the conviction to push through technologies that are in the best interests of the company.
