Senior Network Engineer Market Access & Trading Support

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Network Engineer will have responsibility for the oversight, support and management of complex distributed LAN / WAN environments and market access and trading infrastructure with multicast.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 1st, 2nd, 3rd level support for the WIFI, corporate LAN, MAN and WAN Infrastructure

• Work with architecture group to gather requirements, design and deploy network infrastructure

• Work with system support team in troubleshooting complex, cross platform issues

• Evaluate emerging network technologies and align their benefits with the business strategy

• Monitor service management system to ensure operational issues are being managed

• Ensure standard practices are followed within the team, including security

• Provide day-to-day support of existing Network infrastructure

• Design/Implement new infrastructure on a per-project basis

Minimum required qualifications

• Senior level experience supporting market access and trading infrastructure environments.

• Thorough knowledge of Network Management products

• Proficiency with ITP-standard monitoring tools

• Working experience with optical systems specifically ADVA supporting 10G, 40G, 100G and FC

• Detailed knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Cisco ISR and ASR, and Juniper EX

• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP

• Knowledge of networking technologies such as Metro Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM, TDM

• Knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, PIM, IGMP, DHCP, and DNS
