Position: Network Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

1.             Member of L2 Network Incident Management Team which operates 24X7 with good communication skills

2.            Performing Installation, Setup/Configuration, troubleshooting, Tuning, diagnostics and maintenance of Networking and Security Equipment as a part of L2 Team

3.            Would have to coordinate with the other Teams/OEMS/carriers to resolve network related issues

4.            Would be Using ticketing system to track and to document troubleshooting steps performed to resolve the issue

5.            Flexible in timings to sync up with the Onsite client, to attend trainings and Sync up meetings

6.            Working on ITIL Process and Team Player

7.            Understanding of WAN technologies; ATM, Frame Relay, knowledge of T1/E1, DS3/E3, OC3, STM1, STM4

8.            Should be an expert using Cisco Nexus

9.            Excellent Knowledge of L2/L3 switching and routing

10.          Good knowledge of L1 copper and fiber cabling

11.          Excellent knowledge of OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IGRP, EIGRP protocols

12.          Good knowledge of MPLS, Multicast and QoS

13.          Good knowledge of Wireless LAN technologies

14.          Experience on Switches & Routers- Nexus 7010, Nexus 5020, Nexus 2148T, Catalyst 6509E, Cisco 6500 router

15.          Experience on Fabric Interconnect -UCS 6140XP Fabric Interconnect

16.          Experience on Fabric Extenders- UCS 2104XP Fabric Extenders

17.          Experience on Firewall --F5 Big IP, CISCO ASA 5500, CISCO FWSM , PIX rule sets and objects

18.          Experience on VPN -  CISCO ASA 5500  SSL VPN, CISCO ASA 5500 IPSEC VPN , Sonicwall (Aventail) SSL VPN App

19.          Firewall Checkpoint, Cisco FWSM

20.          Excellent Communication skills

21.          Ability to adapt to new organizational structures

22.          Ability to read and understand Engineering Network Design documentation

23.          Ability to produce detailed and high quality Engineering documents

24.          Able to work autonomously

25.          3-5 years of relevant experience in Network Incident Management as L3 & 5-7 years of experience in Networking

26.          VPN-IPSEC, SSL, Site to Site, Remote Access

27.          IDS/IPS-McAfee Intrushield, Cisco IPS

28.          AAA-Cisco ACSways

29.          Bluecoats, internet mcAfee gateways

30.          Good exposure on CISCO Firewalls PIX & ASA.
