Your Challenge:The Software Engineer builds software functionality and participates activelyin the delivery team by taking on development responsibilities for the entiretech stack. The Software Engineer contributes across several othertechnical activities such as DevOps and quality of the product while workingclosely with the PO/PM to refine acceptance criteria of stories. They will havea real passion for development and a demonstrated appetite for continual learning,typically manifest in their community contributions (e.g., open source work,publishing / speaking on technical ideas)
The things that youwill tackle:
- Build applications ensuring that the codefollows latest coding practices and industry standards
- Design and develop the business logic andbackend systems of the MVP experience
- Work closely with other Software Engineers andQAs to understand the system end-to-end
- Write unit, integration tests and functionalautomation
- Develop high quality, well documented, andefficient code
- Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfallsand inefficient solutions
- Build using modern design patterns andarchitectural principles
- Support product owner in defining future storiesand tech lead in defining technical designs
- In the future, this role may evolve to includeproduct support & QA responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Seen as a keen learner within the technicalcomponents of the domains/products
- Understand technical best practices to supportAgile development
- Passionate to learn new technologies and strivestowards cross-functional development
- Significant experience writing and utilizingautonomous services oriented RESTful API services and performance tuninglargescale apps
- Experience with database systems, with knowledgeof SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Couchbase, etc.)
- Experience integrating with JavaScriptframeworks, such as React, Angular JS
- Ability to write effective unit, integration,and API tests
- Expert experience with HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS/etc.,JavaScript, and responsive design
- Mobile development experience with either nativeor web-to-native tooling and frameworks
