Roles & Responsibilities             

The position will be responsible for implementing the QAD EE16, providing solutions in the area of QAD functionality, ensure successful delivery, individually participate and contributes on any issues that may affect application functionality.

Technical/Functional Skills

* Should know Qxtend administration

* Database administration, manage and support all Production, QA and Development environments.

* Database design, architecture, implementation in an enterprise scale

* Experience in creation and conversion of Databases in different languages (including double byte).

* Manage and monitor database backups and data growth. Refreshing QA and Dev environments from Live.

* Database Performance Tuning.

* Experience in Database Dump and Load and Progress upgrades

* Experience in code deployment, compilation and trouble shooting of issues relating to it. Providing support to the Development Team.

* Should understand complex Unix scripts and be able to develop new scripts

* Installation and configuration experience of Progress

* Should be fully conversant in Unix Shell Scripting and should be proficient in writing shell scripts for database administration and monitoring. Knowledge of Progress 4GL queries is a plus.

* Security administration in OS / Progress, user access definition, user access management, monitoring and maintaining security of the Production environments.

Techno – Functional

             Good understanding of Sales & distribution and Manufacturing modules.
