Job Title:              Product Manager- Retail/Merchandising

Location:             San Francisco, CA – remote for now due to COVID

Duration:             long term opportunity … 6-month contract to start, but expectation is longer than 6 months and it’s a potential to convert down the line

This group owns three applications:

  • PLM – Product Lifecycle management
    • All data regarding Product design & development, product data, etc.
  • MDM - master data management
    • Item Data, Prices on website
  • RMS – Retek retail management system

Top Required Skills:

  • Agile Product Management experience – full gamut of creating stories, working with developers, working through testing/UAT
  • 8-10+ years of Product Management experience, WITH RETAIL EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Merchandising, Purchase order, inventory, itemization  
    • Understanding of “whole item master data” (promotions, pricing, SKUs)
    • Understanding of ITAM or SKU data management and pricing/promotions
    • Understanding of MDM and/or RMS Oracle Pricing and Promotions

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience in supply chain, Pricing and Promotions, MDM and/or RMS Oracle Pricing and Promotions experience is a plus  

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs
  • Ability to identify the business organization's strength and weakness and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for developing and creating requirements, providing product/project leadership and expertise
  • Expert-level knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
  • Customer focused with high quality standards, must possess excellent presentation skills
  • Possesses and often shares subject-matter expertise or in-depth technical knowledge, uses expertise to further development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
  • Provides tactical work direction to team members
  • Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal, business communication and project management skills
  • Works on complex issues of highest complexity and strategic value where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including a broad understanding of current business trends
