Job Title – Machinist/ Manufacturing Engineer

Location – Tarrytown, NY

Duration – 12+ Months Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Required Skills:

Additive Manufacturing processes

General knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment commonly found working in a machine shop setting

Experience with NX or other solid modeling packages

Strong understanding of GD&T and how to read and apply it when fabricating custom parts.
Computer literate and able to operate both NC and manual equipment.

Support the Prototype Shop with the operation, setup, and maintenance of machine shop equipment.

Have good communication skills and be self-motivated to hit deadlines
Collaborate with engineers, machinists and management to achieve project objectives.
Follow a standardized workflow that maximizes part quality, machine up-time and production throughput.
Meet both quality and scheduling expectations.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by strictly adhering to the departmental procedures.
Operate in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
Have 3+ years of machine shop experience working with milling machines, Lathes, and sheet metal tools
Has CNC/CAM experience and an understanding of a design to part work flow
Able to read and understand prints with GD&T call outs
Perform high and low responsibility tasks, including general machine maintenance, occasional assembly work, and organization
Creative problem solver
Proven adaptability and flexibility as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Mechanically adept and able to lift 35 lbs.
