Job Title:.Net Developer

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania(Remote untill Covid)

Duration: 6-12+ months CTH

Client* designs and develops custom software solutions that centralize workflows, optimize processes, and enable decision-making through real-time data and business intelligence.

Client* builds a variety of custom web applications for corporate clients as well as non-profits. Many custom solutions are built using Angular (latest), ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework and Azure SQL.

 

As a Developer at fivestar* you will:

·         Work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment with designers, project managers, analysts, engineers and other stakeholders.

·         Actively participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, technical design and task breakout.

·         Use cutting-edge technology to develop and deploy high-quality software solutions at a rapid pace.

·         Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.

·         Continuously learn about modern software technologies, tools and best practices, and make recommendations on when to use them.

·         Assist in establishing development coding standards, patterns and methodologies.

·         Learn new skills through professional development, with company provided time and funds.

 

Skills & Experience:

·         5+ years of experience working as a Software Developer with demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems,

           particularly web-based solutions.

·         3+ years of experience in ASP.NET MVC using C# and either .NET Framework 4+, .NET Standard or .NET Core.

·         Experience working on a team through the complete software lifecycle, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment.

·         JavaScript ES6 using either Angular, NodeJS, React, or Ember.

·         Entity Framework, NHibernate or a similar ORM tool.

·         Experience building web services with XML and JSON.

·         SQL databases and understanding of entity-relationship design principles.

·         Azure DevOps, TFS or similar tools such as GitHub and Jira.

·         Excellent communication skills, especially with a distributed team.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
