Job description:

Combination of Azure (Primary Skill) + Database (Secondary Skill) - PAAS

• Expertise on SQL Azure, SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014 & 2016 Versions)
• Designing and Maintenance of data and database solutions
• Migration of SQL server database from on premise to Azure IAAS/PAAS. Migration using Azure Site Recovery(ASR)
• Setting up and testing HA & DR(ASR)
• Experience in implementing multi-node windows/SQL HA
• Always on implementation with multi instance availability group(SQL 2012/2014/2016)
• Performance Tuning & System Optimization, Database Health, Security, Data Analysis, Problem Analysis
• Database installation, backups, Replication, Server Procurement, validation and Patching (as needed)
• Configure & Maintain Always On, Mirroring, log shipping, Replication management, Linked Servers and Security
• Ensure and maintain a highly available and secure database environment
• Analyzing and Upgrading to On-premise & Azure from lower versions of SQL Server
• Troubleshooting and fine-tuning of databases for its performance and concurrency
• MS SQL, Azure, DB Administration, Migration, replication, Performance Tuning, Azure Site Recovery, System Optimization
• Fulfills user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to non-production to performance tuning.
• Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of PostgreSQL.
• Deep expertise in migrating, optimizing and managing various database workloads in Azure.
• Working experience on various client projects that includes cloud migrations and deployments, automation, cloud optimization, well architected review, security and best practices.
• Work with DBA’s across different database platforms on major client projects and support them with the tasks related to the cloud infrastructure, Devops and automation.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering; Master’s qualification in related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience, supporting large scale enterprises and delivering small to mid-size IT Projects.
