Role:                       System Engineer

Location:                Columbus, OH

Duration:               Long term contract

Description:

We have a System Engineer opening with our client in Columbus, OH. This person will be in charge of configuring, management, support, and deploy Nginx and or Kafka Production & Operational Support and be on-call for any operational issues. The resource should be senior enough to work independently and provide solution to challenges. Understands and supports current deployment topology (CI/CD), configurations (software/hardware). Train our internal resources with Nginx configurations. Works independently and are driven to produce results with minimum amount of supervision.

Experience required:

·         Experience: 5-7 years

·         Extensive experience with Solaris and Linux.

·         Deep understanding of TCP and HTTP.

·         Knowledge of Trac management and load balancing technologies.

·         Excellent communication, business writing, and presentation skills.

·         Skilled in networking technologies, and Internet security products and services.

·         Experience with Chef and any similar infrastructure management and app delivery automation tools
