 Job description:


Seeking a Project Manager for the migration of business and infrastructure applications.  This is a 6 months position with the likelihood of extensions-- given the amount of work that needs to get done and the projected projects in the future. This candidate will lead the planning and implementation for the migration of the Bank's Non-Prod (Dev-Test environment) applications to a new data center. There might be a need to perform underlying OS and DB upgrade if and when needed as part of the migration. The PM will work closely in coordination with IT Team organized with a Plan, Build, and Operate (Run) structure.  The position is in Midtown, NYC but will be working remotely until further notice. The industry is Banking.

Duties & Responsibilities

        Work with Applications Team, Infrastructure/Network Teams, Database Teams etc. to migrate multiple Non-Prod (Dev-Test) applications to Bank’s new Data Center
        Manage all aspects of the migration including external integration points & communication connections
        Responsible for managing project, and ensuring that project is delivered ON-TIME and to the expectations of project sponsors and stakeholders
        The creation and timely maintenance of detailed project schedule including tasks, resources and percentage completion
        Utilize rigorous scope change control process to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery
        Prepare presentations, conduct meetings and manage weekly team meetings providing updates and status reports as requested
        Coordinate with executive sponsors and business stakeholders responsible for the project and Information Technology to facilitate delivery
        Prepare all project documentation including project charter & scope, progress reports, change control documentation, and other documents to comply with the Bank's System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
        Identify project risks and maintain risk log throughout project
        Create a working environment that allows project team to work to the best of their abilities
        Regularly review and analyze the project scope
        Manage and coordinate participation of third-party vendors within scope of the project
       Day-to-day responsibilities for controlling and managing the project
Qualifications/Skills:

        Data Center Migration PM with knowledge of project management 'best practices'
        Basic knowledge of networking, server configurations and application architecture required
        Should have basic understanding of underlying Databases
        Good to have knowledge on VMware & CyberArk
        Migration of servers across domains is a plus
        Familiar with Agile and have prior Scrum Master experience
        Jira preferred
        ServiceNow – Change Management, PPM module experience preferred
        Expert in suing Microsoft Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs
        Strong Project planning skills
        Minimum Bachelor’s degree is required
