Title: Senior SQL DBA

Job Description:

Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving ofSQL development.
Creates, maintains,and tests backup and disaster recovery plans.
Responsible for themaintenance of the databases including rollout and upgrades.
Responsible forimplementation and release of database changes.
Provides trendanalysis to the management team enabling them to make informed decisionsregarding resources.
Develops sufficientknowledge of the current IT applications and technology such that solutionsmeet the division’s objectives.
Acquires knowledgeof emerging technologies to analyze and offer solutions to current businessapplication challenges.
Develops andenforces division’s IT application standards.
A bachelor’s degreein computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
3-5 years ofexperience in developing windows and/or web based SQL applications.
1-3 years of experiencein a database management role.
Experience managingmultiple Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 on large systems.
Practicalexperience in monitoring and tuning databases.
In depth, hands-onexperience with Transactional SQL, and stored procedures.
In depth SQL serverdatabase administration experience.
Microsoft SQLserver certification.
