Job Title: Software Engineer (C# .NET Core, Java)

Location: Memphis, TN (REMOTE During Covid-19 Threat)

Duration: 18 Months + Extensions

VISA: USC/GC/H4-EAD-Only

Job Functions:

•             Performs verbal interviews and other data gathering activities for preliminary analysis and support of new major projects and application enhancements used during the Software Development Life Cycle.

•             Responsible for major program changes or projects lasting 4 weeks or longer.

•             Responsible for modifications of existing programs that require total redesign.

•             Works with business analysts and customers to resolve problems and help plan for future needs. Involves working within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate controls.

•             Works with users to understand use of systems and system enhancement or modification needs.

•             Uses computer and analysis knowledge to analyze, design, and write new application systems.

•             Creates and modifies complex applications programs, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs.

•             Acts as a lead to the Software Engineer I & Software Engineer II. Includes assisting, training, and mentoring level I & II analysts on application modification and enhancements used during the Software Development Life Cycle.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

•             Performs other various job functions as may be assigned.

•             Performs job duties as assigned as part of ALSACs Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years C# .NET Core experience

• 3+ years Java experience

• Experience with SOAP, RESTful, .NET Core APIs

• Experience with TFS and GIT Repositories

• Experience with OpenShift

• Experience with React UI

• Excellent SQL Skills

• CI/CD experience

• SSIS, Spring/Spring Boot, Kafka experience preferred
