Role: Data Analytics Architect

Work Location:  El Segundo, CA 90245

Experience Required:

Overall experience of 10+ years in the IT, with a proven record in designing, architecting and executing projects from solution conceptualization to delivery.

Package experience could include any of the following: Data modeling, Database performance tuning, ETL Design & Development, Application Integration, Database planning.

Experience in Hadoop/Map Reduce is mandatory

Additional experience in any Big Data technology is added advantage

Industry domain experience in Telecommunication is preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.

Able to identify data architecture system transformation impacts.

Understand business issues, processes & strategies and provide consultation to solution teams on Database aspects.

Collaborate with business users to define business transformation rules Align solution features to help shed light on business problems and possible strategies for improvement

Work with Telco customers, and understand and propose the best possible solutions to suit the Telcos needs for data management.

Identify issues beforehand, and propose workarounds to Program Management.

 

Experience in Relational Data modeling, Database performance tuning, ETL Design & Development, Application Integration, Database planning.

• Hands-on Experience in Data modeling tools (OLTP, OLAP), SQL & Pl/SQL is mandatory.

• Good hands on experience on technologies like Mongo, Oracle 11g, Golden Gate, SQL Server, Mariadb, Cassandra, Couchbase, ColdFusion, JavaScript, ASP, VB6, UNIX

• God experience in any of the ETL tools like, informatica, Pentaho, Talend, ODI, BODI.

• Good Experience in other tools like Toad Data point, SQL-CL

• Minimum 6 months experience in Mongo to Oracle bi directional real time replication using Golden Gate.

• Experience in creating and handling Telco product and order data model  for NO SQL databases.

• Basic experience in the reporting tools like BO, Tableau.

• Knowledge in Cloud database technologies like, AWS, Azure & Google Cloud Platform.

• Up-to-date on key trends, latest product offerings & understanding of market dynamics in Database related technologies

Secondary Skills

• Additional experience in any other BigData database/technology is an added advantage.

• Any experience in Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning is an added advantage.

• Ability to work in a collaborative multi-application team environment.

• Should possess excellent client interfacing skills and analytical skills

Data warehousing concepts  in Teradata and oracle

Handling Bulk data loads

Techniques in  Change Data Management  is mandatory

Data processing/loads using Mainframe SAS

Data summarization and data caching techniques

OLTP and OLAP data modeling

Strong PLSQL Skills in Oracle, MS SQL and MySql  is mandatory

Should have done Performance Tuning exercise to handle stringent SLA

ETL Tools

Informatica  -  built in and custom transformations, inline and stage data loads

SSIS   - Custom workflows, grouped workflows, VB scripts,

Scripting

Strong knowledge in Java script is mandatory

Shell Scripting

VBS, Power Shell and pearl would be an added advantage

Programing Language

    Strong working knowledge in ASP.NET and C#

    Analytics & Reporting

    Should be strong in data analytics and BI Trends

    Open Source libraries like JQPlot , JQGrid used in dashboards and reports

    Knowledge on Microstrategy / Tableau /SAP Business Objects would be and added advantage 

BigData/ No Sql

    Knowledge in HDFS  and Mapreduce concepts

    JSON based data storage and retrieval   or    JSON conversion utilities in conventional databases  is mandatory
