Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate, highly skilled, self-motivated, experienced Senior SW Dev Project Manager to join our team as we partner with New York State of Health (NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 4.5 million New Yorkers.  

Responsibilities 

·  Working in collaboration with functional managers, clients and other stakeholders, you will lead projects through to completion and ensure that deadlines and requirements are met.  

·  Manage communication of progress to internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary. 

·  Manage scope, review project status, and understand how to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Identify and manage risks. 

·  Actively monitor project progress with an emphasis on problem solving. 

·  Develop, manage, and execute software development project plans, drive cross-functional team deliverables and schedules, and see projects through to completion. Provide definitive direction to drive efficiency in project execution and accuracy ensuring on-time delivery, and within budget. 

·  Use project management tools and processes to keep the budget and timeline on track.

Education 

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline. 

Required Qualifications 

·  Ten (10) years or more of IT experience 

·  Must have a minimum of 7+ years of overall experience in leading software implementation projects, which included development and delivery to customers 

·  At least five (5) years of experience project management frameworks and best practices and the systems and software development life cycle, including scope, schedule, and risk identification and management. 

·  MS Project proficiency 

·  Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications 

·  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 

·  Healthcare experience.
