Description:

Our client, is seeking an Oracle/SQL DBA Professional to support the Oracle and SQL Server databases.

Tasks

  • Support the future implementation and conversion to new database technologies that have statewide impact on the Department of Treasury.
  • This position is the expert on database performance tuning: - identifying and solving minor and major bugs, and issues on a twenty-four by seven basis; providing ongoing productions support regarding creating database objects.
  • Work with developers and others to support their ability to use the data to further the interests of the agencies.
  • This includes data cleanup, conversions, running scripts, synchronizing versions, database upgrades and providing expertise in Structure Query Language (SQL) and Procedure Language/ Structure Query Language (PL/SQL) coding to other agency Information Technology (IT) staff.

Skills Required

5 years experience in

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager 19c (OEM)
  • Relational database administration, tools, and related activities.
  • The fundamental principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of data processing systems analysis.
  • Computer programming, data modeling, and object oriented programming procedures, techniques and applicable tools.
  • Preparing detailed written instruction and documentation.
  • Expressing complex technical concepts at a level appropriate to the audience, both verbally and in writing.
  • UNIX scripting and UNIX system administration.
  • Oracle database administration.
  • SQL and PLSQL
  • Oracle Advance Security Products
  • SQL Server database administration
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and T-SQL
  • PowerShell or similar scripting/automation
