The Web UIX Developer designs, develops, documents, unit-tests, implements and deploys responsive web-based applications to support business requirements. He/ she must follow CTIS’ approved software development life cycle methodologies including Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe®) and all processes as required from time to time.

A: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned)  

• Interacts with the business analysis team to understand project requirements. 
• Come up with UI and UX strategies based on our target goals. 
• Create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups using prototyping tools such as Sketch and InVisios, etc,. 
• Design, code, test, debug, document and support internet/ intranet applications 
• Design, build, and maintain highly reusable JavaScript, HTML and CSS code. 
• Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary. 
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to the helpdesk and/ or maintenance team to help resolve technical issues with production systems by debugging, research and investigation. 
• Applies HTML/ CSS/ JS standard coding practices and industry standards. 
• Applies Section 508/ Accessibility Standards compliant software development methodologies.  

B: EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS 

· Hands-on experience with HTML 5, CSS/ SCSS/ SASS and JS/ AJAX is required 

· Experience with Accessibility and Section 508 compliance 

· Expertise in responsive web page design is required 

· Experience with web page design considerations for PC, Mac, Tablet and Mobile applications 

· Experience designing and styling UI components in a JSF environment (preferably PrimeFaces) 

· Strong aesthetic and web page layout design skills 

· Expert understanding of browser capabilities and cross-browser compatibility considerations for Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome 

· Understanding of how web tier, business tier and database tier interact 

· Knowledge of software lifecycle methodology – Rational Unified Process (RUP), Rapid Application Development (RAD) and SCRUM/ Agile methodologies 

· Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes 

· Excellent oral and written communications skills 

EXPERIENCE 

· Minimum 4 years of experience with the following technologies: 

o HTML 5, XML, XSLT, DHTML 

o CSS 3/ SCSS/ SASS 

o Javascript, AJAX, JQuery UI/ JQuery Mobile 

· Experience with unit testing and end to end testing preferred 

· Experience with bootstrap or tailwind will be viewed positively 

· Experience with Single Page Applications using Angular, React, Vue etc will be viewed positively 

· Experience with data visualization libraries is an added bonus
