Position:              System Engineer
Location:             Scottsdale, AZ (Remote okay for now)
Duration:             6+ Months
Interview:           Phone and Skype

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a SOC analyst
• Analyze network traffic, endpoint indicators, and various log sources to identify the threat, assess the potential damage, and recommend counter measures
• Have experience with WAF, HTTP and OWASP, RegEx

 Here’s the full job description:

Analyze network traffic and various log data to determine the threat against the target infrastructure, recommend appropriate countermeasures. • Experience and knowledge with common vulnerability frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 and CVSS.

•        Ability to understand and determine security risks and apply appropriate controls.

•        Advanced understanding of the potential security incidents such as DDoS and web application attacks.

•        Deep understanding of variety of logs, and experience with SIEM technologies (ideally Splunk)

•        Knowledge of enterprise network and host security controls

•        Familiarity  web infrastructure applications, tools and processes used in security incident detection and response

•        Experience with troubleshooting and configuring security devices, application platforms, and database, Windows and UNIX system administration

•        Maintaining security tools for web infrastructures

• Familiar with common attack vectors, DDoS attacks, Phishing, web & application attacks, and malware

• Strong working knowledge of network protocols, ports and common services such a TCP/IP and UDP protocols and application layer protocols (HTTP/S, DNS, FTP, SMTP, etc.).

•        Creating, tuning and reviewing WAF attack rules and policies

•        Preferred working knowledge Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Load Balancers
