Android Developer- NYC

Visa: NO CPT, OPT, H1B - but prefer GC/USC

Need Local.

The ideal candidates will be comfortable building in android / java

* They will need to be comfortable getting their hands dirty with backend tasks

* Nice to have will be IOS experience

* No preferred industry background, candidates will be filtered based on experience, technical knowledge and overall team fit

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Collaborate with a small, autonomous team of engineers, designers, and product managers to find end-to-end solutions to important problems

·         Implement these solutions for our Android client, adhering to Android development best practices

·         Help your team solve problems in a way that makes sense for Android users and our codebase

·         Work with a functional reactive framework for managing state evolution and side-effects, with add-ons for connecting to Android UIs and RxJava Observables (Mobius)

QUALIFICATIONS

·         You have a deep understanding of modern Android development.

·         You know how to write readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented Java. Knowledge of Kotlin is a plus.

·         You can contribute towards building the necessary backend systems that are required to power our Android experiences.

·         You are experienced with Android development tools

·         You have 5+ years of experience and are comfortable working in a remote setup.

·         iOS experience is a big plus
