Position:  PeopleTools Developer 

Location: Remote role

Northtowns Client has an immediate need for an experienced PeopleSoft developer to join a project team responsible for re-developing a legacy asset management system within a custom PeopleTools environment. 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze functional and technical requirement specifications.
• Design, code and unit test both online and batch transactions.
• Test software for quality assurance.
• Develop system documentation and update said documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide frequent status updates to the Project Manager and technical lead.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools including PeopleCode, Application Engine, BI Publisher, Component Interface, SQL and PS Query.
• Experience developing Crystal reports.
• Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
• Experience in PeopleTools 8.5x.
• Strong understanding of coding standards and best practices.  Ability to adapt to National Fuel’s development standards.
• Strong software testing skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

In this role, you are NOT working inside the PeopleSoft Application.  

Instead, you will be using PeopleTools to create custom, industry specific applications and reports.  You will be working on a backlog of user requests and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience developing reports in BI Publisher and Crystal Reports.
• Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills
• Experience in PeopleTools 8.5x.

Have you ever built a custom Peoplesoft application that had nothing to do with PS Financials or PS HR?  If so, what was the application for and how did you develop it?  What tools did you use?

The contractor will not be doing any work on the vendor-delivered applications from Oracle. 

The assignment will be doing software development on a new custom-built application to replace an aging mainframe system that manages the inspection of NFG's corporate pipeline facilities for our personnel in the field.
