Project Manager
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Remote to start)
Duration: 12 month contract
No H1B/CPT
? We are looking for people with DEEP PHARMA backgrounds.

? Data Warehousing Project Manager/Lead
Primary Function:Led data warehousing projects within AbbVie. Develop, execute, and manageproject(s) within the defined scope. Lead all aspects of the projectlife-cycle, working with project sponsors/key stakeholders, team members, andmanagement to oversee all phases of project completion. Build and manageproject’s work breakdown structure, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverableswithin the constraints of human and financial resources and changing prioritiesto ensure the successful completion of the project. Ensure transparentreporting of project status, issues, risks, and financials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Initiate and Plan Project: Works with businessand IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives,financials and deliverables.
• Project Control: Assess the degree to whichchanges to scope, issues and risks will affect the project working withbusiness and IT management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared tooriginal plan and budget.
• Executing and Closing Project: Develops andexecutes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activitiesare performed. Leads team in delivering project scope. Gather lessons learnedand obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
• Project Communication: Communicate projectprogress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate programstatus and decision support information to project teams, business, and ITmanagement. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolveissues and manage risks.
• Resource and Team Management: Coordinateresources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasksand deliverables to team members based upon their abilities. Motivates projectteam in order to deliver project outcomes.
• Quality Management: Responsible for compliancewith applicable Corporate and functional policies and procedures.
• Decisions: Make decisions that impact projectlevel activities. Influences or has final decision authority for projectbudget.
Experience:
• 10 years IT experience building full-lifecyclesolutions
• 5 years building data warehousing solutions (sourcing, transformation,datamart’s, integrations)
• 5 years either project manager or technicallead overseeing full-lifecycle development
• 5 years managing/leading efforts that includedreporting and communicating with business-side stakeholders
Skills:
• Data Warehousing – knowledge of data warehousingconcepts from sourcing, transformation, database, integrations, and reporting
• Project Management – skills aroundcommunications, planning, tracking, project finances and reporting
• Communications – strong communications skills
• Pharmaceutical – background in commercial-side (sales, marketing,operations) of pharmaceutical industry
Qualifications:
• Experience in managing projects associated withdata reporting and analytics.
• At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in project management, businesssystems analysis, or software development, with a minimum of 4 years managingdata projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, InformationSystems/Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, andWord skills are required.
• Individual must be able to work full timeon-site (Mettawa - AbbVie ABV1 building).
