Detailed Job Description:

• Strong Experience in leading / Managing Cloud Data migration of Hortonworks platform / Java based applications to AWS.• Deep knowledge of Hortonworks Data Platform and its components (Hadoop, HBase, Solr, Hive, YARN, Zookeeper, Spark, Oozie, Ambari, Ranger). • Deep knowledge with implementation of core AWS services – EC2, EB, LAMBDA, Route 53, IAM, S3, EBS, IAM, RDS, Glacier, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudFront, CloudTrail, AWS Landing Zones, AWS Backup, Direct Connect, Redshift, Kinesis and EMR.• Should have led at least one end to end migration to AWS and understand the intricacies of the implementation. • NoSQL, Statistical Models, Financial Models, Machine Learning.

• Able to lead multiple development streams related cloud migration, big data development in tight timelines• Able to articulate and communicate the technical solutions of cloud migration, HDP development, infrastructure items to Senior management• Self-starter and quick learner of the application landscape, environments• Should collaborate well with various stakeholders, other vendor teams to provide best in class solutions• Strong experience in implementation of Hortonworks platform technologies• Able to handle complex transactional data systems and building Rest/Soap API based applications• Application development methodologies ranging from traditional Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) to incremental development, agile development including SCRUM, and extreme programming methods. • Work with Architects/Business teams Proposing viable technical solution designs based on specific technology stacks that support user and functional requirements, use cases, and business objectives.• Authoring technical solution documentation that communicates in a detailed fashion the proposed technical solution in a manner that is understandable by the development team, project manager(s), and client Information Technology (IT) representatives.• Determining the overall LOE for proposed solutions using top down and bottom up approaches through working with the development team and project management.• Create and implement project plan creation for proposed solutions by working with the development team and project management.• Documenting and promoting best practices related to solution design and development through leveraging development project tools that can track development progress, capture issues and questions, automate solution building and testing, and defining release management.
