Job description
Responsibilities
1. Design, Develop, Deliver and maintain world class Android applications across multiple form factors for Beachbody (phone, tablet, TV, Wearables, etc.)
2. Evaluate and research latest technology, coding patterns and frameworks within the space
3. Work with project managers to ensure that all project milestones are met
4. Work collaboratively with peers and other teams (Product, PMO, QA etc)
5. Provide technical estimates for development efforts and provide solutions to requirements presented by Product team
6. Team player attitude. You need to work well with others.
7. Investigates and resolves issues with our applications.
8. Work collaboratively with peers and teams such as Business Owners, Product and QA
9. Provides solutions to requirements presented by the Product Team.
Experience
You'll need to have these skills and experience:
9. BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and at least 5 years experience or equivalent training.
10. MINIMUM 3 years’ experience developing native Android client applications, with working knowledge and demonstrated experience of Java and Android SDKs/Frameworks
11. Experience using Kotlin for Android development is strongly preferred
12. Solid demonstrated experience testing your applications, including writing unit tests, test automation, and working closely with quality assurance teams.
13. Successful launch of consumer grade applications to the Google Play Store
14. Experience with efficient client-side integration with Restful services in a high-performance ecosystem
15. Solid demonstrated experience launching native mobile applications on multiple devices
16. Solid demonstrated experiencing optimizing native mobile applications for non-functional performance (memory, power, etc…)
17. Experience working in Agile/SCRUM or Kanban processes and project methodologies.
18. Best practices for source code management, Git, modern branching concepts, etc.
19. Experience with Continuous Integration tools and processes
20. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
21. Experience in media based apps, wearables, health a plus
