Title: Network Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Long term

Technical Skills

·        Must have good communication and problem-solving skills

·        Perform system installation and troubleshooting to normalize the impacted services

·        Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a strong sense of ownership

·        Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities

·        Good experience in troubleshooting application and infrastructure-related incidents

·        Experience to create and execute tasks via automation scripts; including testing, configuration management and incident remediation

·        Good knowledge and experience of networking protocols and services e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc., MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, SDN, OSI layers and load balancing

·        Experience in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

·        Expertise in operational monitoring and management tools (Solarwinds, System Center, NimBUS, Zabbix, Grafana/Graphite, Nagios, etc.)

·        Flexible to work in a 24 x7 environment, including night shifts

·        Ability to works under minimal supervision

·        Previous working experience as a Windows/Cloud Administrator for at least 4 years in a mid-to-large-scale multi-geo organization

·        In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and services; like Active Directory, Azure AD, RODC, AD Integrated DNS, DHCP, IIS, RADIUS, Terminal Services, Bitlocker, Multifactor Authentication, Performance Monitoring, etc.

·        Knowledge and expertise of OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization

·        Experience of Windows image creation (Sysprep), hardening and security accreditation process

·        Must have experience with AD Group Policies, Fine Grain Password, Security and Distribution Groups, FSMO roles, Site Links & Replication, etc.

·        Experience managing Hypervisor Management Systems (VMware, AHV, KVM, HyperV, etc.).

·        Experience with Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS) and backup systems

·        Experience of using and managing one or more relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Maria DB, PostgreSQL, etc.).

·        Experience with non-relational databases (preferably Redis, Cassandra, and Solr)

·        Experience with message brokers, such as RabbitMQ/ Kafka/ Flume

·        Experience with web servers, such as IIS, Websphere, Apache or NGNIX

·        Experience with load balancers, such as F5, Array, Fortinet, etc.

·        Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

·        Experience with E-mail and collaboration technologies such as Exchange 2012, O365/M365, SharePoint

·        Experience with DC-DR Automation tools, such as Zerto, Perpe
