Title - Data Analyst

Location – Canton, MA

Duration – Long Term

Description

• Designing and implementing effective data models and structures that meet requirements and needs
• Query large databases and other data sources using SQL programming languages.
• Experience in working with multiple, large datasets/warehouses, and ability to integrate and extract from such datasets using relevant programs and coding.
• Experience using SQL to analyze customer level data, such as POS/transactional or weblog clickstream data.
• Creating & administering database objects including tables, indexes, views, sequences, procedures and database replication.
• Experience taking transactional business data, analyzing that data and using analytics tools and systems to present the findings and insights
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, comprising of both structured and unstructured data, using statistical techniques and advanced analytics
• Loading JSON files from Cloud Storage

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
• Experience with data warehouse principles like SQL joins
• Experience with database management like DB creation, index creation, db optimization, indexing.
• Good understanding of SQL performance tuning techniques including query plan understanding and management, SQL tracing, DB stats, indexing techniques, using AWR reports etc.
