CVS / Aetna is seeking a Big Data Infrastructure Engineer (contractor) to join a knowledgeable, highly-skilled and motivated team responsible for the delivery, support and maintenance of the CVS / Aetna Big Data Platform. The ideal candidate would have a deep knowledge of Big Data technologies and would be able to hit the ground running. This individual would need to understand the differences between Hadoop 3 and Hadoop 2 and understand the different distributions of Hadoop that are on the market (HDP/CDP/CDH).

   Must haves:

·         6+ years as a Big Data Engineer/Admin experience (Hortonworks Hadoop admin)

The Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) is highly desired over Cloudera. 

·         3+ years working with the cloud and big data

·         1+ years with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and knowledge of DataProc and Big Query

·         Container experience – examples: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

·         DevOps/Automation Engineering experience (Deployment manager, Terraform Ansible, Salt, Git, Jenkins

·         Proficient in Python

·         Exposure/Experience in a production environment

Nice to haves:

·         On prem Hadoop experience

·         Scala/Spark
