Title: Network Engineer
Location : Oak Brook, IL
Duration :Long term contract
Only USC’s OR GC’s
(If H4 EAD’s then need to share VISA and Passport Copy)
Client is looking for a network engineer to work with our Global Infrastructure and Work Place Delivery Team. This position will be based out of our Oak Brook Location. The person we are looking for will be assisting other team members with their project workload. You must be able to take direction, work independently, and complete projects in a timely manner.
Knowledge of
- Configuration of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches
- Cisco wireless
- Aruba wireless
- Silver Peak SD-Wan
- Infoblox
- F5 load balancers
- TCP/IP Stack
- BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
- Client and site-to-site vpn
Responsibilities
- Includes, but not limited to, planning, administration, and documentation.
- Provide a high level of technical expertise in network infrastructure and Data Center cabling.
- Able to take direction and follow through.
- Timely and accurate completion of projects and assignments.
- Effective use of time and equipment to accomplish assigned projects.
- Understanding, supporting, enforcing and complying with company policies, procedures and standards of business ethics and conduct.
- Effective and consistent cooperation and communication with members of the team
- Performing duties in a professional, polite, considerate and courteous manner.
- Flexible hours to meet scheduled maintenance windows.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technology area
- Cisco CCNA certification
- Aruba certification desirable
- 4+ years of networking experience
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to update documentation in a timely manner
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
