Network Engineer

Baltimore, MD

JNCIP-ENT Required (JNCIE-ENT Preferred) certification is not must. But candidate must have experience with Juniper.

• More importantly the candidate will be expected to initially work onsite at Baltimore, MD - - working with the network manager and get ramped up and gain an understanding of the environment.
• There are no guarantees working from home, but hopefully, if the candidate gains a good understanding of the environment and builds a good working relationship with the Do IT network manager, they can possibly look forward to a remote work situation.

Duties
Responsible for the design and implementation of data communications or telecommunications networks. Plans and monitors the installation of communications circuits. Manage and monitor local area networks and associated equipment (e.g., bridges, routers, switches, and gateways). Conducts short and long-term plans to meet communications requirements. Responsible for the design and implementation of LAN using switching and router technology. This position requires travel to sites across the State of Maryland and will report to 100 community places in Crownsville, Maryland.

Education/Certifications
JNCIP-ENT Required (JNCIE-ENT Preferred)
Cisco CCNP Preferred

Desired Qualifications: BA or equivalent experience

Experience
Ten years of experience in LAN and WLAN Networking.
Five years of experience configuring the platforms below
• Aruba switches, wireless controllers, wireless access points and ClearPass.
• Juniper SRX series routers and EX series switches.
• Cisco Routers and switches
