The ideal candidate would be a network engineer with 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role and proven hands on experience.

The candidate would assist in a project to change the IP addressing schema for about 9000 devices in our data centers and campus locations that will require change activities with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN tunnels, DHCP scopes, and DNS. The position would mostly be remote but may require some hands on activity in the data centers. This project will also require acting as a representative of the company to work with third party vendors so excellent communication skills are required.

Additionally responsibilities would require assisting the support teams in troubleshooting and resolving higher level issues as related to the project. Current hands on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing is expected.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in data engineering positions.
CCNP certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Hands on experience in a large enterprise environment with multiple hardware vendors. Route/Switch (Cisco, Client) Load balancing (F5 LTM/APM) Firewall/VPN/UTM (Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FWSM, Palo Alto) Wan Optimization (Riverbed) DNS/DHCP (Infoblox)
Support and troubleshooting skills in the following areas: Layer 2 (MSTP, PVST), Layer 3 (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) protocols, Enterprise QOS and multicast deployments and VPN.
Very strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well with others and provide leadership and mentoring within a large team environment.
Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
Experience coordinating projects with internal and external organizations
