Title: Project Manager
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 6+ Months
The roles are in the Philadelphia area, only local candidates can be considered. The position is 2 days onsite and 3 days remote currently and will remain that way for the duration of the project. It is a 6 month+ contract
Requirements:
Strong PM who is able to quickly absorb domain knowledge, manage daily work on a tactical level, and work with leadership to continually evolve SDLC at Perspecta
Process expertise
Familiarity with one or more process methodologies and best practices – some variant of agile required
Demonstrated experience applying this knowledge to teams and products
Triage and prioritization of work items
Knowledge of systems to help drive prioritization discussions
Coordinate communication with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project work
Keep up to date on client commitments, system needs, and product needs and weight work accordingly
Escalate as needed to leadership for additional discussion and removing impediments
Industry knowledge of the provider data space preferred; demonstrated ability to absorb domain knowledge and understand supporting software systems
Balanced perspective between product features and roadmap, client commitments, and technical needs
DevOps perspective: embody the idea that each team member has a key role in success, and responsibility isn’t bound by silos or reporting relationships
Ability to influence decision and exert soft authority, even in the absence of direct reporting relationships. Know when to escalate to senior decision-makers
Emotional intelligence and ability to form productive relationships
Skills:
Usage and light administration of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps (formerly Visual Studio Team Foundation Server)
Experience writing work item documentation (user stories, bugs, etc) in response to project needs and requirements
Ability to work with team to create delivery schedule and communicate this schedule via reports and ALM tools to the business
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Documentation and reporting skills for software projects
Experience
5+ years PM experience in a software development environment
Full time on site in Langhorne, PA.
