Role Description:

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 2+ years strong Teradata and SQL, Data Warehouse Modeling, Teradata Utilities, Aggregates, Unix and building efficient views; other SQL and UNIX experience plus Teradata certification may be substituted for years of Teradata experience.

• Certification in Teradata and Teradata SQL preferred.

• Critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Strong experience in designing and developing large scale and optimized Data Warehouses using Teradata

• In-depth hands on experience in database, ETL/ELT design and development and should have excellent data analysis skills

• Experience in deploying solutions using version control systems like Subversion or CVS

- Metadata Management, Enterprise data security architecture and Data Warehouse best practices

- Project management using SDLC

• Use Teradata utilities TPT, fastload, multiload, tpump to load data.

• Write BTEQ scripts and stored procedures to transform data.

• Write Fastexport scripts to export data.

• Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.

• Construct Korn shell driver routines (write, test and implement UNIX scripts).

• Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.• Gather system design requirements, design and write system specifications.• SQL proficient.
