Contract

Creates sizing and estimates for new project requests. Maintains estimate documents for approved projects as they move through the Solution Delivery Process (SDP) phase gates.

• Able to work with vendors and internal team members to perform all App and database components installation and configuration.

• Provides solution oversight to the extended project team during the build/test and implementation phases of assigned projects.

• Obtain design reviews from other team members and may perform similar reviews for peers; also responsible for mentoring less senior staff members with estimate and design reviews.

• Provide strategic technical insight with respect to the POS systems and shares expertise on integration requirements for cross functional initiatives.

• Enhances and delivers artifacts for technical Knowledge sharing Library to build Engineering domain expertise

• May mentor one or more junior team members

•Ability to understand highly complex and custom developed systems

•Ability to read and understand Database Models

•Excellent communication and presentation skills

•Extensive Software/Programming expirence on Python, Shell scripting

•Databases: Oracle knowledge preferred 9i/10G/11 on Unix, Linux, Windows

•Understanding of technical processes such as RIB, batch processing and performance optimization

•Extensive Knowledge of Oracle Xstore POS/Office -MUST HAVE

•Should have extensive knowledge on infrastructure as a code using automation tools like Ansible

•Prefer knowledge of DevOps tools specifically, Ansible Playbooks, GIT, XL Release, XL Deploy and Jenkins)

•Prefer development experience with: Ansible, Azure, Groovy, Maven, Splunk, and AppD

•Should have extensive knowledge of running Oracle Xstore POS on different innovative architectures

•Knowledge of Oracle MOM suite integrations with POS

•Oracle Retail Software (RMS/SIM/POS/RPM) technical knowledge

•Good understanding of message queuing architectures; preferably MQ-Series and Oracle Queues

•Python Shell scripting, C++, Unix Shell scripting, Java/J2EE, XML, HTML5

•Understanding of Oracle technology stack and toolsets including database design

•Experience managing technical teams in large global projects

•Experience writing and reviewing technical design documents

•Familiarity with DB2 and mainframe systems desired

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience

• Evidence of continuous learning (e.g., relative certifications)

• 7-10 years of related work experience
