Your typical activities might include:
• Collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, and backend developers in iterative development of data science projects
• Overseeing technical aspects of the frontend in greenfield projects from concept to completion.
• Providing technical leadership and assisting the team in the creation of user interfaces that are in line with our company unified standards
• Enhancing UI functionalities by implementing advanced visualizations for machine learning model output
• Identifying opportunities for improvements of applications like reducing response times and compatibility with different browsers
• Comprehensive unit testing of your own code.
• Deployments of microservices to Kubernetes clusters through a CI/CD pipeline.

EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelors or master’s degree in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Biotechnology.
• 7+ years of Frontend Developer/UI Designer role
• Expert understanding of state management tools, especially Redux and Redux-Thunk as well as one more advanced library like Sagas or Observables
• Experience developing with CSS preprocessors (SASS, PostCSS)
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript
• Good knowledge of CSS Frameworks, like Bootstrap, and CSS Architectures (like BEM)
• Good knowledge of Package Managers (NPM, Yarn)
• Plentiful experience with Javascript unit test frameworks such as Jest and React test utilities such as Enzyme and React Testing Library.
• Experience maintaining clean and well organized code leveraging industry standard best practices as well as tools such as linters like ESLint.
• Knowledge of the most popular build systems like webpack
• Hands-on experience with consuming RESTful APIs and JSON
• Experienced with Responsive Web Design
• Good UI prototyping and design skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Experience in following Scrum best practices
• Good English Language verbal and written communication
