Job Description / Requirements:

Lead Talend Big Data Engineer with SPARK & JAVA needed for 12+ mo. project based in Los Angeles.
Work REMOTE - Pacific Time Zone Hours (after Covid-19 vaccine and things are safe, maybe some travel)
Subcontract OR Contract-to-Hire

Application Development - 9+ years
Lead TALEND Developer Experience - 2+ years
Talend Big Data - 3+ years (Projects Deployed into Production)
Talend Cloud Development - 3+ years (Expert!)
SPARK - 3+ years
Java - 5+ years
Map Reduce & Spark Design Patterns - Required
Use Spark to Process large streams of data - EXPERT!
Experienced w/running Spark & Map Reduce jobs over YARN- Required
Talend Open Data Studio - 2+ years
50% OR MORE OF RECENT WORK IN TALEND - REQUIRED
Should have at least one of these 3:-Snowflake-Redshift-Azure SDW

Work with Data formats and ETL and ELT processes in a Hadoop environment including Hive, Parquet, MapReduce, YARN, HBase and other NoSQL databases - 2+ years
Work with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data in batch and real-time environments - 2+ years
AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud environments - 3+ years
DevOps - Required

Client facing or consulting experience - preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major - Required
